  30. 2. FILE SYSTEM SUPPORT

  32. In addition to the documented partition type support, PartitionMagic 4.0 
  33. also supports FAT16X, FAT32X, and ExtendedX partitions.

  37. 3. KNOWN ISSUES
  38. ---------------
  39.     A. Volume sets and stripe sets on Windows NT
  40.     --------------------------------------------
  41.     Currently PartitionMagic does not support moving and/or copying of
  42.     Windows NT volume or stripe sets.

  45.     B. MOUSE.COM issue running PartitionMagic under Windows 3.x
  46.     -----------------------------------------------------------
  47.     By default, Windows 3.x disables MOUSE.COM in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file
  48.     and MOUSE.SYS in the CONFIG.SYS file.  This makes Windows 3.x use its
  49.     own proprietary mouse driver.  When PartitionMagic is run from
  50.     Windows 3.x with this situation, MOUSE.COM is never called, and
  51.     PartitionMagic runs without a mouse.  You can have a mouse with
  52.     PartitionMagic under Windows 3.x if the MOUSE.COM mouse driver is
  53.     loaded before Windows 3.x is loaded (this will require you to edit
  54.     your AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS file).

  57.     C. Uninstalling PartitionMagic under Win3.x
  58.     -------------------------------------------
  59.     The "PowerQuest PartitionMagic 4.0 Pro" program group is not removed
  60.     when you uninstall PartitionMagic under Win3.x. This can be done
  61.     manually if desired.

  64.     D. MagicMover issues
  65.     --------------------
  66.     MagicMover has a known issue involving an '=' alone on a line in 
  67.     system files (i.e., WIN.INI, SYSTEM.INI) under Windows 95 and Windows 
  68.     3.x. If an error occurs, make sure there are no single '=' characters 
  69.     on a line in these system files.  Also, under no circumstances should 
  70.     you use MagicMover to move the BootMagic directory (BTMAGIC.PQ) as 
  71.     this will cause serious damage to your BootMagic setup.

  74.     E. Color palette issues installing Windows NT version
  75.     ------------------------------------------------------
  76.     If you run the Windows NT version of PartitionMagic immediately
  77.     after installation, occasionally you may see color palette problems.
  78.     We recommend rebooting Windows NT before running PartitionMagic
  79.     for the first time.
